What this function does

Marketing automation sends the emails, runs the nurture programs, and scores leads before sales sees them. It owns the lifecycle stage a contact sits in until the handoff.

The hard part is the seam with the CRM: which system decides lead status, how scores sync, and who owns the definition of a qualified lead.

What job descriptions ask for

Postings ask for campaign operations, lead scoring models, list hygiene, and the sync between this platform and the CRM.

How it shows up in the scores

Each platform named adds to the tool count. Two automation platforms in one posting is a category overlap. Lead routing and lifecycle design pull in the process_design skill category, which feeds Unicorn JD.

Every tool a posting names adds to its tool count, but the Franken-Stack score is not a tool count. It is a model judgment of how disconnected the stack is, with a written rationale. Read the bands or see how scored postings read today.

How often does Marketing Automation appear in scored postings? The record counts tools per posting but does not yet store which category each tool falls in, so this page does not say, and does not rank the tools above.
